Finally, party season is here – which means dancing, fun…and a lack of sleep. Make sure you look as fresh as a daisy with the best makeup hacks. These tips will ensure you look like you have actually slept more than 4 hours (but sadly, they won’t help you function any better – multiple strong coffees until you can get to your bed will deal with this).
1.Highlighter

Apply your highlighter generously around the eye area, paying particular attention to the inner and outer corners of the eyes, and upper brow bone too. Furthermore, add a little to the area at the outer side of your eye to give a lifted effect. I love Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Wand, £27, www.charlottetilbury.com
2.Curl Those Lashes
A top trick for opening up the eyes instantly is to use an eyelash curler. This works miracles.
3.De-Puff The Bags
Eye bags the size of hammocks are kind of a giveaway to your previous night’s antics. Avoid the comments/looks/questions by quickly erasing the bags, dark circles and puffy ‘I haven’t slept in a week’ look. The best product I know of for a quick fix after a late night is Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask, £60 (Pack of 12), www.johnlewis.com

Once you try these under-eye masks they will become your post-party skin saviour. Drenched in a retinol-based formula, these patches (allegedly loved by Kim Kardashian) instantly plump the skin, erasing any evidence of dryness and lines (temporarily of course – but long enough to get through your day shift)).
4.Colour Corrector And Hydrating Concealer

Firstly, address any dark circles with a colour corrector and then apply your concealer – but make sure it is a hydrating concealer. An ordinary concealer may make the situation worse as it can cause a cakey effect so close to the eye area, thus emphasizing any bags/lines instead. We don’t want that, so opt for a good product such as Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, £24, www.feelunique.com
5.Illuminate
Add a drop of illuminator to your foundation to brighten your overall look, detracting from tired skin. Iconic London’s Illuminator is totally dreamy, £32.99, www.cultbeauty.co.uk
6.Neutral Shades And Eye Drops
When you are absolutely shattered it is best to stick to neutral eyeshadows and lips, so that you do not draw attention to any sleep-deprived imperfections. Lastly, don’t forget the eye drops – these are always a Godsend!
Happy partying people xx
