Take A Look At The Future Of Skin Rejuvenation: Uvence

Right now, people everywhere are crying over cancelled skin rejuvenation treatments. Although annoying, it has given us the breathing space to discover something far better. This revolutionary skin rejuvenation procedure is called Uvence. Take a look at the biggest advancement in cosmetic treatments, in well over a decade. The natural anti-aging procedure delivers incredible personalised and long-term results. Uvence is set to sweep the globe and become the future #1 skin rejuvenation treatment.

Do not underestimate the genius of Uvence’s capabilities. Offering an innovative targeted treatment, it is 100% natural and has shown unbelievable effectiveness. But the beauty doesn’t end there. This innovative procedure employs cryopreservation. Basically, the restorative formulas can be kept long-term, allowing for further treatments to be administered.

Uvence uses your skin’s own tissue to provide regenerative abilities. It greatly improves the overall appearance of your complexion. Although it is not a magic wand that thwarts aging forevermore – you can consider Uvence as the next best thing. Look at this cosmetic treatment as giving your skin an upgrade and then putting time into slow-mo. Sign me up!

Uvence Facts / The Science-y Bit

Uvence utilises a client’s own tissue which is purified to amplify the regenerative properties. The outcome is a ‘Super Enriched Tissue’ with no inflammatory properties. This recalibrated tissue is readministered (injected) into areas of concern. Think of it as the ultimate cosmetic injectable!

What Makes Uvence Such a Game-Changer?

Basically, Uvence changes everything for the future of cosmetic procedures. It means that clinicians can consistently use nano-fat injections to deliver remarkable results.

Uvence technology enables a person’s own tissue to be much-improved and bio-remodelled, in a unique and totally natural way.

Which Areas Can Uvence Address?

Uvence can dramatically improve the look of the face, neck, decolletage and even the hands!

Will it Affect Botox or Filler Treatments?

Credit: Uvence

Not at all! In fact, as this is totally natural, the results will be complementary to any cosmetic treatments you may undergo.

How Many Treatments Are Necessary?

The number of treatments will differ according to a patient’s needs. However, significant improvement is noted even after the first treatment. The skin continues to improve over the course of several months.

For How Long Can a Patient’s Tissue be Stored?

Tissue can be stored for up to 5 years! Consequently, a patient can have repeatedly great results, with a minimal fuss.

What About the Downtime?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. This means very little downtime is needed. Afterwards, the patient can have the treatment and return to work if they so wish.

This Is Why Oat Milk Should Be In Your Skincare Radar

Hey, Lovelies!

Oat milk offers such an array of skin-benefiting powers – so why, until recently, has this little gem of nature been overlooked? Read on to discover why oat milk should be in your skincare radar and the best products I’ve tried.

When it comes to helping out your skin, oat milk is proving to be quite a Godsend. Features (aka superpowers) include:

Anti-Aging Mission

Think of oat milk infused skincare as the ultimate anti-aging weapon, capable of taking down fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin faster and sleeker than The Avengers can sniff out a bad guy.

Super-Charged Anti-inflammatory Properties

Inflammation and redness are quelled with undeniable ease. Furthermore, acne breakouts are squished before they get a chance to wreak havoc.

Warrior-Like Antioxidants

Literally loaded with these skin nourishing, protecting and reparative bad boys. Pollution, lifestyle and UV rays are a piece of cake to deal with.

Humectant Abilities

Can retain crazy amounts of moisture.

Destroyer of Pigmentation

Oat milk greatly reduces pigmentation (and is way cheaper than some lux brands that offer the same results).

Should you suffer from serious skin complaints that need more stringent attention and greater anti-inflammatory markers, colloidal oatmeal products may be a better option.

Although still new, the potential benefits of incorporating oat milk into your skincare seem too good to overlook. Here are some awesome oat milk products I have tried and loved:

1.Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer, $38 (48ml), www.milkmakeup.com

this is why oat milk should be in your skincare radar
Credit: Milk Makeup

The mix of beneficial ingredients in this product is blatantly clear. Literally, it can’t help but be awesome. Included is a blend of oat milk and fig milk. These work unequivocally well with the aloe, baobab, jojoba and melon, making it a powerhouse for tackling dryness and plumping mature skin types.

2. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner, £19 (180ml), www.feelunique.com

this is why oat milk should be in your skincare radar
Credit: Feel Unique

First Aid Beauty products came into my radar some time ago and each product I have tried has given incredible results (their oatmeal mask is amazing). Toner often gets overlooked, but it shouldn’t be. If you want to keep your beautiful skin balanced and even, a toner is kinda vital. Damaged, mature or sensitive skin types will benefit greatly from this super-hydrating and regenerating product.

3.Pai Instant Calm Redness Serum Sea Aster & Wild Oat, £46 (30ml), www.paiskincare.com

this is why oat milk should be in your skincare radar
Credit: Pai

Oh, will there be no end to the problems caused by pesky age? With this serum, it’s not such an issue. Aging leads to skin thinning, which in turn increases inflammation and redness. Not much fun. However, this serum works like a magic wand, quickly dealing with the concern. Fellow rosacea sufferers should definitely give this one a go.

The Term ‘Anti-Aging’ Shouldn’t Be Slated: Here’s Why

Hey, Lovelies!

The term ‘anti-aging’ and any who use it, have received serious backlash in recent months. The claim is that it is deemed derogatory towards people above a certain age. A key point is that it sends the message: older people cannot be beautiful, and all should attempt to fight signs of aging. The term ‘anti-aging’ exists due to human nature. It built the foundation for an incredibly lucrative beauty industry. Why? Because the truth is as a whole, no one wants to look older.

                                                                      Giphy/Free GIfs

Yes, it is inevitable and yes, we all age. No, this does not mean you are suddenly ugly. However, gravity gets us all. As we get older, the skin isn’t as firm and us all (if we are honest) would like it to stay where it’s always been for as long as possible. The beauty industry has tapped into this need and provided a wealth of products to tackle the globally felt concern. Some products work well, others – not so much. None will permanently rectify specific concerns. That’s life.

the term anti-aging shouldn't be slated: here's why
Credit: Wkipedia.org

The point I am making is that people may suddenly have a beef with the beauty industry for using the term ‘anti-aging’. However, it wouldn’t be booming if we didn’t want it. Yes, marketing (as with all products) may persuade people to become customers for certain brands. But the base fact is, the majority of us don’t want aging skin.

We are physical beings who want to look our best. If we are tackling sagging skin and wrinkles where there was once firm luminosity, we will want it back. It’s not derogatory to dislike wrinkles. It is okay to not want to embrace the fact that skin is getting older, and to want to lessen its impact. The term is simply reflecting most peoples’ thoughts. I don’t understand why people are getting on the bandwagon about the term anti-aging when if we were truthful, the reason the products sell is simple: Getting older has lots of upsides but we don’t want age to show on our skin.

anti-aging should not be slated: here's why - skincare mask
Credit: Wikpedia.org

The terminology is simple and to the point. Products called, ‘graceful aging’ or ‘mature beauty’ is vague and probably won’t sell. People want to know the products they buy are tackling their key concerns. We shouldn’t be shamed for desiring that and the beauty industry should not be slated for accommodating our wishes.

What are your thoughts on this? Perhaps I am completely missing the point. Leave me a message in the comments below. xx

Double Cleanse Your Way To Beautiful Skin

Hey Lovelies!

2020 is here and so too are some key beauty trends worth taking seriously. K-beauty brands were on the mark when they introduced the double cleansing formula for beautiful skin. Is it worth the hype and time? In short, the answer is a big fat YES, should you want beautiful and radiant skin. Discover what is meant be double cleansing and why you seriously need it in your life!

Why Double-Cleanse?

double cleanse for beautiful skin a gif o jim carrey
Credit: Giphy

Korea got it right with their skincare routine and introduced the rest of the world to the advantages of double cleansing. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon, but their 10-step routine proved too much for us lazy people to keep up with (well, for me anyway). So, as with all good intentions, the double cleanse took a back seat.

However, the benefits of double cleansing can’t be ignored and as we begin 2020, we re-ignite our passion for a flawless complexion. Welcome back, the double cleanse. You see, we live a life of pollution, even when we don’t want to – it’s unavoidable. Come the end of the day, should we not thoroughly rid our skin of nasty bacteria and pollutants, the result will inevitably be bad. Cue prematurely aging skin and all the crap that goes with that. Prevention is better than the cure.

What Is Double-Cleansing?

double cleanse your way to beautiful skin: a gif of cleansing
Credit: Giphy

For those of you who are not in the know, double cleansing is not some ritual to banish evil spirits (not this type anyway). It involves applying balms, micellar water or oil to rid the skin of impurities; then, we follow the step with an extra cleanse. This will be a water-based product that can then be delivered into deeper layers of skin providing optimal results. Furthermore, once this is complete, your much-loved beauty ingredients can then be added, achieving maximum delivery and efficacy.

Read my next article on the best double-cleansing products for that much sought-after complexion. Double cleansing will quickly become as beneficial and necessary as brushing your teeth!

The Oscars: Discover The Latest A-Lister Facial Beauty Treatments

Hey Lovelies!

I can’t believe it’s come around so quickly, but on February 25th the world will be watching as A-listers make their way to the highly anticipated 91st Academy Awards ceremony, otherwise known as the Oscars. Each year, celebrities seek-out the latest facial beauty treatments to ensure they stun on the night. Check out some of the amazing (and unbelievably costly) beauty procedures celebs undergo to make sure they are red carpet ready. Sadly, for us mere mortals, flawless certainly comes with a hefty price tag).

1.LED Facial And Light Therapies, Cost Varies Considerably Depending On Clinics.

Credit: beautiful buys.org

LED facials are ever-growing in popularity – so I’m thinking they work quite well. Utilising wavelengths of light, these facials are touted for successfully healing, treating and rejuvenating the skin. Whether you are looking to diminish acne and pigmentation, or simply want a firmer, more plump and luminous complexion, LED facials are fast, non-invasive treatments that promise excellent results. (The Kardashians are said to be huge fans).

One of the newest trends is to have what is known as a Hybrid Energy Lift (£6000 available at Harrods). This method of facial rejuvenation involves using ultrasound, infrared, light and laser in one single session to stimulate collagen reduction and treat all layers of the face. Wow!

2.Oxygen Mist Facial, From £200

Gywneth Paltrow
Credit: Wikipedia.org

So many celebrities love this procedure and after hearing Gwyneth Paltrow is a huge fan (and seeing a recent picture of her clear and dewy complexion) I will be booking an appointment for this ASAP! N.B: Apparently Madonna and Kim Kardashian own an Oxygen Facial machine – and if I had a spare £15,000 so would i!

This facial actually makes a lot of sense. Oxygen is needed for the body’s cells to work at optimal level. The procedure is basically being blasted in the face by pure oxygen. Not only does this improve hydration, reduce pore size and diminish toxins, but it also involves administering high-performance skincare products that are then absorbed that much better, achieving incredible results and undeniable radiance.

3.Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty, From £1000.

Credit: Wikipedia.org

This procedure is performed to reduce the appearance of hooded or droopy eyelids and may well be a popular  choice when preparing for the Oscars. Often using nano plasma technology, the treatment is delivered to the superficial skin cells and can reduce excess skin on both the upper and lower eyelids and can also reduce any excess skin around the eyes, so crow’s feet are diminished too.

4.Microneedling, From £300

Credit: dhgate.com

Although this treatment isn’t new, it remains a hit for many and is bound to be one of the favoured beauty procedures pre-Oscar night. It consists of puncturing the skin with many tiny holes to trigger the skin’s own healing response, thus increasing the production of collagen and elastin. This effectively delivers a more plump and youthful complexion (and it isn’t as painful as it sounds). Great microneedling pens are also available to buy (see image above) and are a fab investment if you adhere to the instructions.

5.The Penis Facial, £500.

kate beckinsale
Credit: Wikipedia.org

If you thought the Vampire facial was freaky (I’ve actually tried this, and it is), then check out the latest beauty treatment loved by Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale – behold the Penis Facial. The proper name given for this facial – to make it sound a little less gruesome than reality dictates – is the EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor Serum) and is made from cells cloned from new-born foreskins. Ugh! This costly hour-long procedure consists of cleansing, followed by a chemical peel, electrifying mask, during which the serum and a few peptides are applied via a microneedling wand. Probably the grossest way of spending £500 in an hour.

6.Ruby And Diamond Facial, £7000

Allegedly loved by Mila Kunis (and for some reason I can’t quite fathom, not many other people), this insane treatment is referred to as an HD Diamond and Ruby Peel. It involves putting an ice cube (or two) in your mouth and sucking it to reduce the ensuing inflammation of having these precious stones rubbed all over your face. Hmmm. Not so sure about this one!

Have you heard of any other new facial treatments or tried any of the above procedures? Let me know your thoughts.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!xx
