If you are anything like me, stocking filler presents always get forgotten until the last minute. Then I freak out over my poor budget and time management. Panic buying (not loo roll, although maybe this year) on a budget means purchasing all the pointless tat that can be sent via next day delivery. A waste of money and time. This year, I’m starting early to give the stocking filler the justice it deserves. After a year of crap, we need some fun, innovative and quirky gifts guaranteed to bring a smile at the very least. Check out awesome stocking filler ideas.
1.For the Chocolate Maniac: Hot Chocolate Bombes, £9.99, www.prezzybox.com
OMG, my mouth is literally drooling (Turner and Hooch style) just looking at this. If your loved one enjoys Belgian chocs, hot chocolate and marshmallow, the stocking filler gift will be a hit. The bombes take the classic hot chocolate drink to a whole new level (picture total bliss). A perfect comfort-giving gift.
2.For the Anxiety-Ridden: Calma Llama Stress Toy, £5.99, www.amazon.co.uk
This gift is perfect for anxiety or stress sufferers of any age. Studies have shown simple techniques such as using a stress toy can greatly alleviate those unwelcome feelings of anger, anxiousness or just stress in general. If you ask me, we could all benefit from having one of these little llamas in our Christmas stockings this year.
3.For the Lockdown-Weary Folk, Moan and Move on Notebook by Bread & Jam, £4.95, www.notonthehighstreet.com
Another fabulous and quirky gift idea from which all of us would benefit is this notebook. Being in a lockdown for the foreseeable means there are going to a be a lot of fed up folk wanting to say what they think. Sadly, with nowhere to escape to, most of us have to keep it zipped. This is no good – it has to come out. With the Moan & Move on Notebook, you can vent fifty times (there are 50 pages). Then throw your grievance in the bin and – you guessed it – move on.
4.For the Boredom: Magnetic Figure Stacking Game, £3.99, www.findmeagift.co.uk
There’s nothing like a novelty gift that everyone can enjoy. When the board games get too much and the TV is blah (given you have probably seen everything a hundred times by Christmas), the Magnetic Figure Stacking Game will be a welcome sight. With a variety of balancing acts to try out, the stocking filler with be sure to alleviate boredom (for a while at least).
