Should you have little ones, by week two of the Easter holidays you will probably be going slightly mad. If climbing the walls trying to find something for your children to do (that does not continually break the bank) sound familiar – don’t panic! Here are some excellent ideas for things to do, ensuring Easter break is fun.

1.Geocaching: Cost: Totally FREE. Location: Anywhere. www.geocaching.com

For those of you who aren’t in the know, Geocaching is like a universal treasure hunt. People hide short messages or their names on a piece of rolled up paper in all sorts of locations, such as under benches, at churches and so forth. Simply add the app, sign up and follow the clues. Although the treasure isn’t awesome, the process of going out and searching is a great way to bond, have fun and get some exercise – the best bit being it’s absolutely free to do, and your children will love it!

2.Cadburys & National Trust Easter Egg Hunt, Prices Depend on Location, (Over 260 Hunts Across England, Wales and N. Ireland), www.nationaltrust.org.uk

Combine fun facts about wildlife, solve clues and puzzles and grab yourself an egg! The National Trust and Cadbury’s have teamed up this Easter and are offering various nature trails brimming with adventure, of which end with the discovery of a yummy chocolate egg! The prices are generally quite affordable (£20 for a family on average, which includes the egg hunt price £2 and the cost of admission). For this you can enjoy an entire day of adventure. Should your little ones still appear to have masses of energy following the hunt, many places will also offer an array of activities and games – so there is no chance you can’t all get a good night’s sleep (and the grown-ups can enjoy a lie-in)! N.b: Different locations will have varying admission prices.

3.Trampoline Park: Approximately £7 Per Child, Various Locations, www.jumpwarriors.co.uk

Let your little ones jump off some steam while you sit in the viewing bay with a latte and your fave magazine. Some of best memories from my childhood are ones when my nan took me to the local trampoline park. These places have come on leaps and bounds since then (pardon the pun) and is one of the best past-times for my son. You can’t go wrong!

4.The Movies

This is always a great way to spend a rainy afternoon – and I do believe the next Marvel film, Endgame (starring a man who actually is perfect, Chris Hemsworth) is soon to be released. However, i think it isn’t out until 25th of April. Still, in the meantime there are some funny movies for all of the family to watch. Surely nothing will be as bad as The Emoji movie!

5.Create Your Own Easter Egg Hunt, Cost: How Much You Spend on The Eggs – Lidl’s?

Get your children involved in creating an Easter egg hunt. Whilst you are thinking up your Easter hunt clues, let your child do their own. This allows them to get totally creative, involved in something fun – and most importantly – off the Xbox!
